When the bell rings,
hunger shouldn’t follow them home.
Why we're different
Bridging the Gap Between Hunger and Hope
The Whyld Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children facing food insecurity in our local schools. By partnering with social workers and community organizations, we provide discreet access to nutritious meals and essential supplies right where kids need them most.
While other amazing programs in Carson City focus on income-based assistance or weekend meals, the Whyld Foundation fills the gap in between. We provide weeknight nourishment through in-school pantries, giving kids access to food right when they need it most.

What We Do

School Food Closet Program
Mini pantries placed in schools stocked with healthy, shelf-stable food. Students can confidentially access items through school staff.

Weekend Meal Kits
Pre-packed “Weekend Bags” ensure kids have nutritious meals over the weekend.

Community Partnerships
Local businesses and individuals come together to sponsor shelves, donate goods, and fund our programs.
“No child should have to worry about where their next meal will come from.”
— Kimm Cox, Founder & President
Be Part of the Change
Every dollar, every can, and every helping hand matters. Together, we can fill the cupboards and hearts of children in need, ensuring they have the nourishment and hope they deserve. When our community comes together, small acts of kindness create big change. Your support helps us keep shelves stocked, smiles bright, and the future a little fuller for every child we serve.
